Steps

Brown ground beef in a large heavy pot, drain fat

Cook onion, bell pepper, jalapeño, and garlic until soft

Stir in chili powder and cumin, cook 1 minute

Pour in beer and stir up any browned bits

Add diced tomatoes and simmer 20 minutes

Add beans and cook 20 more minutes until thick

Season with salt and pepper
